Making it big in any industry isn’t that easy. While we may have heard a lot of rags to riches stories, each one makes it special because of the hard work and determination they have put in to reach the place they are in currently. One such man is the mass maharaja! Yes, Ravi Teja – a man who clearly knows how to entertain his masses!
Speaking of his early days, a young 20-year-old Ravi Shankar Teja had big dreams in his eyes and wanted to fly high. He started off from his native place Chennai, where a lot of people rejected him saying that he doesn’t have that glamourous look that a hero should possess. Determined, he decided to walk ahead and through the arrows that were shot at him.
He started getting roles where he was seen in a scene or two. Didn’t give up still, kept moving ahead. He then became an assistant director to many Hindi and Telegu films shot in Madras. It is said that if you have the willpower, you can even turn mountains. This came true in Ravi Teja’s case. His mentor Krishna Vamsi gave Ravi Teja a chance as a hero, and he was launched in Sindhooram. This offbeat film went on to win the National Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu that year.
Ravi Teja had to continue doing supporting roles for quite some time even after winning the National Award until Puri Jagannadh made him the mass hero with the film Idiot. The biggest ticket to superstardom was because of SS Rajamouli. It seems Rajamouli has magic in his hands. Ravi Teja appeared in his film Vikramarkudu which went on to become a cult hit. After this film, there was no turning back for him. He rose and shined like a star.
And now he will soon be seen in RT68. This has got his fans excited! After playing an intense cop in Krack, fans are wondering what Ravi Teja will offer them this time.
The film is untitled and is tentatively called RT68 as it is Ravi Teja’s 68th film and it also stars Divyansha Kaushik. A poster has been released from the film and it gives us an insight into the character of Ravi Teja. He is seen sitting in front of a typewriter with a bit of his oath in the background. Going by the dressing style of Ravi Teja in the poster, we can say it can be a period action-drama film and he might be taking charge as a government officer at an executive magistrate office. It is said that Ravi Teja will be seen as a slum dweller in the film and it will be a revenge drama in which the protagonist takes on the corporate system.
It is stated that this film is inspired by real-life incidents. Sarath Mandava will be helming RT68 and sources even say that the role of Ravi Teja is made by keeping Chiranjeevi’s character from Gharana Mogudu in mind.
Infact one of the sources revealed to a famous news website, “The makers took Chiranjeevi as Ravi Teja’s character reference and etched out this down-to-earth and fun-loving role. The character offers humor laced with satire and is tailor-made to provide a taste of nostalgia to Ravi Teja’s fans”.
