5 things we expect from ‘Stranger Things 4’ on Netflix

The teaser for the fourth season of Stranger Things just came out, and it goes like this:

We are so here for Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin and Lucas to return to our lives and fight some bad monsters from the upside down! Since the 4th season will probably come out only next year, here are 5 reasons why we’re really, really excited for it, and what we really expect from this season:

1 / 5

For Jim Hopper to reunite with his family!

We thought we had lost Jim to the upside down forever, but it’s so good to see him (even though he’s lost half his body fat) in Russia. How did he get there? And how will he reunite with Eleven and Joyce, if ever? Aah. So many questions. He deserves better.

2 / 5

Will the Demogorgon remain captive?

At the end of Stranger Things season 3, we saw a demogorgon in Russian captivity. What does this mean? Will the Russians use him as a war weapon against Americans? Does the demogorgon miss Indiana and his good pal Will? I’m pretty sure this means that the upside down and right side up worlds no longer have strict borders anymore — the demogorgon is in our world and so monsters might take over any day.

What crazy new monsters will this season bring?

The third season brought on the mind flayer — a fucking terrifying beast that haunted them all through the season. We saw its worst effects especially on Billy (sigh, gorgeous Billy), and how it terrorized all of Hawkins, eating away their precious malls. I’m sure season 4 is just going to one-up that. We should brace ourselves for some scary-ass, gross looking beasts.

Have Eleven’s powers totally gone? And does Will keep going to the upside down?

At the end of season 3, we saw an Eleven who was just a regular tween, no powers or anything. And we saw Will at peace, kind of. So this brings up the important question of what now? If they are attacked again, which they 100% will be, who will fight off monsters with mind powers? And if Will doesn’t keep returning to the upside down, can he finally live a peaceful, carefree life? Sigh. So many questions, so much time to think about them.

Everyone’s love lives…

Eleven and Will, Lucas and Max, Nancy and Jonathan, Joyce and Hopper, Steve and Bat…we’re so curious about everyone’s love lives in season 4! Eleven and Will says their “I love yous” at the end of season 3 and promised to meet again for Thanksgiving. The last we saw of Lucas and Max, they were romantically dancing at prom. Nancy and Jonathan are full-on dating and were interning at a newspaper company together, last time we saw them. Joyce and Hopper were so perfect for each other until he had to go and get sucked in the upside down and end up in Russia just to be a hero…annoying. And of course, name a better couple than Steve and Bat.

I’ll wait.
